As a kid of the 90s, I grew up with a disposable camera permanently attached to my hand. Documenting the world around me and finding artistic freedom before the influence of the internet was even a thing were my roots. Naturally from there I progressed to digital, shooting with an old Sony Mavica that used floppy disks if you can believe it!
By 16-years-old, I was shooting senior pictures and portrait sessions as often as I could. Touring bands, families, and my first wedding at 18-years-old. In the years that followed, I studied photography in college, went on to work for a newspaper, and got to meet so many awesome people.
Eventually I left my small Michigan hometown, and set out to start my crazy new adventure in the Pacific Northwest. Now, in my 7th year hanging my hat in Cannon Beach, I truly feel that my photography journey has come full circle. This place holds my heart, and I've made so many magical memories in my time here.
